Hi all I have been out of the game due to the military. I hope you all can help me answers my questions because I have limited use of the net on base.
1) what wave are we currently in?
2) I have a backup iso of bullet storm and a few other games. What the best way to burn them to a disc so that I can play them and play online on xblive?
Once again thank you this will really help me and a couple of the guys here. It's the only thig we can do to feel like we are at home.

1. Wave 10.
2. Run the ISO through abgx360 to make sure it's good. Manually patch to SSv2 if necessary. Burn with ImgBurn using decent quality media. Job done.

What is SSv2? Also do we burn the iso like before? I remember I had to edit the .DVD file and replace the game name with some numbers then burn the .DVD file. This was a few years back so I'm lost. Maybe I you can explain in dummy terms please =0)
Thanks in advance

If you run the ISO through abgx360, there's no need to do anything with the .DVD file. If no .DVD file exists, abgx360 will create one, and if the .DVD file contains wrong information, it'll fix that too.
The SS file is the security sector. It contains challenge/response info for the test that MS do to see if the game is legit or not. SSv2 is the second version of this and it's recommended to use it for all games that are wave 3 and above if you want to be as safe as you can be on Xbox Live.
Here's how to patch games to SSv2: -

Wow thanks for the help. So once ss patches the game if needed then I just use image burn and burn it at a 2.4 speed?
Also do I burn the .iso or .DVD?

Yep, burn the .dvd file. This contains the correct Layerbreak setting. Make sure you have ran the ISO through ABGX before hand as previously stated.

Make sure that you're using imgburn when you select the dvd file. If you're not using imgburn, make sure to set the layerbreak to 1913760 and burn the iso, not the dvd file. When you select the dvd file with imgburn, it knows to burn the iso with the appropriate layerbreak. To make things go smoothly, just use imgburn @ 2.4x with quality DL media ;)

Yep, burn the .dvd file.
SELECT the .dvd file. Doing so will allow Imgburn to BURN the .iso file correctly.
That's what mike means. I just wanted to make it a bit clearer as there have been people in the past who actually have burnt the .dvd file :)

Can someone explain in REAL dummy terms how to flash a liteon drive from 2009 arcade system with the new firmware for wave 11 and that we can play on xbox live. No one on base knows how to do it an this is the only system we have lol. It's not like I can ask someone on iraqs craigslist to flash in loll. My system currently has I think is wave 2 or 3 firmware
