Unable to connect to XBOX Live

I am unable to connect to XBOX 360 Live. I was connected to it about 3 weeks ago but haven logged in since.

I was prompted to install an update today when I signed in but the update failed. I tried performing hard drive maintenance but that did not resolve it. I then downloaded the update to a USB key and manually updated the box. I could still not log on to LIVE after the update.

I ran the XBOX Live test and it showed I could connect to the network and to the internet but not to LIVE. I have TCP port 3074 forwarded to the Xbox IP address.

I've also double checked the IP address of the XBOX and re-entered it as a manual address. Ive also checked with my ISP and they insist they are not blocking XBOX Live.

It doesnt appear to be a profile issue as I have the same problem on other profiles. I noticed that people with hacked firmware are currently being banned and I can assure you that I have never hacked my XBOX.

Any help you can provide with this would be greatly appreciated.

You might be better off calling Xbox support. It sounds like the failed update could be the cause, even though you managed to install it properly via USB in the end, as nothing else has changed on your console.
