trying to flash a liteon 7 series the usb on my ck3 has broke so i had to use serial to usb lead, anyway i got the key ok but then it went wrong when i erased in even though i got a status x72 name unknown......so i cant flash it

hi you may want to try l-o-eras.exe to erase and get the drive back to the correct status you need to flash it the file is place onto your bootable flash drive with the files needed to flash via dos and you may have to type in the command several times to get correct status there are the tuts and files out there if you need help shout back
not sure if im supposed to recomend other sites but i found the tut on robinhoods plaground when i had the same problem not sure if its still there though.

ive bben trying that all day i have even erased the virgin drive and i dont have the key lol .......i was trying the swap trick and typed L-O-ERAS DCOO AND GOT INVALID STATUS BUT NOW THE VIRGIN WONT EJECT AS WELL

yes m8 i did ive done loads in the past but now 2 liteons 7 series wont eject and cant get them into vendor mode

hmm odd, this problem has been going round the internet a while, but I haven't seen a fix. Maybe it's a problem with the drive itself rather than your computer, am guessing you could try another computer.

i sorted it in the end i used a old pentium win 7 32bit it worked first time recovered both drives but lost the key on second .....but you live and learn
