hey guys i got my xbox360 modded last week by modders. My drive is a lite-on with iXtreme 1.6 with a kreon drive (v1.0). Well the problem is that when i put in my backup disc into the xbox i get a unrecognizable disc error. I used both XBC with image burn and then shcrotm to extract and burn with imgburn but both times i got the error. I checked the iso with agbx360 and all factors were good SS, DMI etc except for the verification (error 404 - game not in database i take it) but SS and everything was sweet.

When i used imageburn by itself after extracting through kreon drive all the layerbreak (set to optimal - 1,913...), booktype (DVD+R to DVD-ROM) and all other settings were set sweet but still got the same error. I even used to separate burners first was TSST - SH-s223b and the other was a LG from a laptop but both times still same error which rules out a faulty burner

Cant be something wrong with kreon drive as it extracts everything well (checked with agbx360) and cant be the discs as i am using verbatim DVD+R and gone through like 10 of them so unlikely that all of the discs are faulty by manufacture.
I have tried everything even the activator.iso which didnt work either.

Hope someone can help cheers

okay you can try a few things..
1. Download a game and burn it with imgburn and see if you still get the error. This will rule out bad rips from your kreon drive.

2. Use the latest version of abgx. error 404 means you are not connecting to the database. It since been moved so if you're using an old version of abgx, you'll get that error.

3. your liteon may have not been properly flashed and is not able to read discs.

thanks for your reply. Ive got all the latest software including agbx360 (1.0.1) was trying to read up on why i get the error as the game is already in the database, got no solutions on that one

Yea i emailed the guy who flashed my drive as i think that it might be the xbox itself so gonna try and test my discs on another modded xbox to see if the discs are fine as i dont have the internet speed/bandwidth to download a game from internet

Also it could be your laser in your x360 is dying. Do any of your backups work? Also, Abgx could check a backup just go to burned dvd instead of the file tab, insert your game and hit launch. If your games check out fine then it's the mod or the laser.

my xbox is pretty much brand new got it about 5 months ago so doubta its the laser. yea i did that on the disc and everything was ok (again except the verification as agbx360 either couldnt connect to the site or the game was not in database)

Don't worry about the booktype and don't mess with the layer break. Simply select the .dvd file when burning.

yup already done that too.. XBC usually does all the optimal settings for imgburn when you use it so i tried that and manually changing the settings when just using imagburn. Still get errors though

Hmmm are you sure the modders flashed it? Did they prove they flashed it by showing you, your system plays backups?
