I purchase a Benq VAS6038 to replace a dead Hitachi 0059DJ, I have the original firmware with the drive key. The problem im having is that the drive is unrecognizable in jungleflasher, i tried flashing with dosflash states that the flash size is 512KB, is this correct? i thought firmware files were supposed to be 256KB? I have the jungleflasher logs and the original firmware of my hitachi and the 512Kb firmware off the Benq i extracted with dosflash.

The firmware size should be 256KB. You purchased a BenQ VAS6038? Or a VAD?

You don't need to be trying to get the key from the BenQ. Spoof it and flash it with jungleflasher.

Its a VAD6038 sorry for the typo
