Tried to download some isos from torrent sites, when burning them, The console does not recognize the disc. Tried it with two isos, region 1 and region free. Here is what I used:
Console: Moded XBOX 360 with Lite-on drive, ixtreme v1.52
Computer Drive: NEC ND-3550A original manufacturer firmware v1.07
Media: Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x(made in Singapore)
Software: Imgburn with Layer break set to 1913760, Book-Type set to DVD-ROM, and write speed 2.4x
Can someone tell me what I am missing? Thanks in advanced.

You're probably trying to play newer games on an outdated firmware, (1.52 is non exsistant by the way) if you're on firmware 1.5 then you can't read wave 3 games, if it's 1.51 then you can't read wave 4, just upgrade your firmware to LT as stated above.
I am going to try two things:
- download older games and try to burn them in the meantime
- looking to update firmware ix 1.5 to LT
You mentioned that I have an older NEC firmware. Checked their official site and 1.07 is the latest. I did some googling, and was not able to cross update firmware 3550A -> 4551A; I believe I have one of the newer drives that cannot change the drive id. Do you know where to get updated firmware for my NEC 3550A drive?
