The slims are locked out. There is a unlock method that Jpizzle posted that you can try if you are experienced in soldering. The other option for slims is to buy the new pcb board. NO FW fix is going to fix a locked drive.
For Phats, just wait for the abgx patchs. It's the real time checks that causes the issue.

ok i'm asking a stupid question its maybe on here its just alot to look through but did C4 say about when he will release the 2.0 CFW and will ALL games that have been backed up have to be reburned

Check here to see what C4EVA has said.
Not all games have to be re-burnt, only the ones with AP 2.5, Black Ops etc.
Try searching, its fun.

He can get the game used on ebay for around $25-$35 shipped if he really can't wait. Only a select few know when the ap2.5 data will be updated on abgx, and I'm not one of those lucky few.....

I updated with my drive flashed to 1.9 and everything's fine. I can play all non-AP2.5 backups. My drive is liteon 74850c and my console is a phat jasper manufactured in March 09. The console I have is the best 360 model imo because the drive is unbrickable and extremely easy to flash and its a jasper model meaning a low chance of rrod. Winning!
Edit: Just to clarify, the update does NOT reflash liteon 74850c drives!

as far as that code with tampering and Xbox live // i had that code 0099 on a friends box I modded i had his drive (a benq) spoofed as a Hitachi and it would give me an E66 and then would give me that code when tried to un-spoof // I switched his drive with a non working Hitachi 47 that I had (what his original drive in the Xbox was) did the Xbox live update... Valhalla!! updated fine he's back on Xbox live..!!

Phat Jasper? LOL, all jaspers are in phat consoles. Unbrickable? Not true, these have been bricked many times. Easy to flash? They arne't the easiest, but they aren't hard. Liteons will get flashed to stock if you had the FW flashed before you updated.

Anyway, the liteon 74850c was the first drive I flashed and I messed up so many times at the beginning because my connectivity kit was broken but yet I didn't brick my drive. So it must be very difficult to brick. I can't see how any drive could be easier to flash than the 74850c. Literally, erase drive and write.

Well then, I guess the benq is the easiest. I wasn't including extracting the key. Though benqs didn't come in jasper models. I hope I never get the rrod because I don't want to deal with the slims.

I also updated but rarely play the 360, although I'll pop in Black Ops or Reach once a month for a couple hours. Should I bother wasting DVD's or does it look like C4E or M$ will come out w/ a new update
sum1 already had stevedawg and stevedawg85 is longer than 10 chars :(
