My xbox is not hooked up to the internet? I bought Mortal Combat recently and before I played it, it said I need to update my xbox in order to play it. I did. I guess it got the update off the cd????Now my backups wont play. Not even with activation cd? What do i need to do to fix this?

Come on Jason........... as a Junior Member I'm pretty sure you've seen a few of the hundreds of posts mentioning that the newest dashboard flashes your drive back to stock. A stock drive doesn't read backups which is why we flash in the first place. Mortal Kombat is one of the newer games out, and therefore will have the newest dashboard update on the disc, flashing you back to stock. You need to flash LT+1.9 (or wait for LT+2.0) to your drive.

Rule of thumb: Game updates are OK, system updates need to be checked.
