Updating Banned XBox /w USB?

Okay, here's my issue. I have a banned console, and i bought a new one to play on live. I want to update my banned one with the New Vegas patch so that the game is playable.

I figured just pop my old HD on the new console and update the game. The legit Xbox doesnt see my banned HD.

Can I use a USB to transfer the files I need to update my banned box? ... if so, how?

did you uncorrupt your profile and game saves yet before putting the HDD into the legit one?

with the title updates you can download them off some sites such as (some listed below). After the title update is downloaded, copy the update onto the HDD with Xplorer360

con flag remover should do the trick but i think after you need to resign/rehash it or something like that?

I have had a look at it, and if all I want to do is update my games, do I need to uncorrupt it?

What I really need to know is how to apply the updates I've downloaded to my XBox. Do I just load them on a USB and it does the rest, or do I need to hook my HD up to my PC to copy them over? I assume they need to be extracted ...
