I have a non banned console with a flashed 1.51 59dj
that I bought off craigslist last year.

The seller did not provide the original files from the original flash.
I read through the jungleflasher pdf. Seems like its very simple to update an older hitachi.

This may be a dumb question, but..
will I need those files to re flash my drive?

You need to flash it back to stock in order to flash the new firmware. Grab the stock firmware from xbins. Might as well grab the new jungleflasher and LT+1.1 hitachi files while there also if you don't already have them.

thanks so much bill.
Went to that site and downloaded the new jungle flasher
and the 1.51 jf(to get the stock fw)

I put LTPlus-59-1.1.bin and orig59.bin/orig59b.bin in the firmware folder.

another stupid question...
So whenever it comes to the step where I have to
flash back to stock I use the file orig59.bin, correct?
or will JF automatically find the file because its in the firmware folder?

JF should find it and do it for you. Also, it should autoload the new LT+1.1 when you choose the new flash LT option.

make it easy if your gonna flash more consoles just place all firmware in the firmware folder for easy access
