...the ability to play all of my older games that I changed the wave on? Having 1.51 for so long, I just changed the wave on all of my games to wave 3. Will the newest LT fw still load all of these games?

Yeah it's wave less booting. So it does not check the wave. But going on-line with those games will get you banned
