I have a 360 that boots up but shows no video. After it completely boots up (based on sound) it reboots and is in a continues cycle of booting. Any clue of what could be wrong?
But I can leave it off for days then try again and it instantly goes into the endless cycle of rebooting. Do you think the x-clamp mod would fix the problem?

Its worth a try. Though if its still under m$ warrant, claim that its RRODing intermittently and send it in for a free repair.
This might not be an overheating problem necessarily, even though replacing the x-clamps fixed it.
It sounds like the HDMI connection is never successfully established. My console does this same thing when I connect it using HDMI connection with another video input to a monitor. But when I just have the HDMI cable connected to the monitor/TV, it works fine (I sometimes have to turn the TV/Monitor on first, and then start the console).
Try using a different video adapter. Try the RCA, RCA doesn't require any protocol handshaking, it just spits out a constant stream of video data.
