I've tried doing research, but I still can't really find the answer that would apply to my specific curiosities.

I'm looking to buy a 360, should I get a phat or slim? Which is easier to mod? Which is more reliable? And if the answer is slim, what do I look for to make sure the model is not of the more difficult to mod type.

And then should I get the Wasabi or X360Key, I'M NOT INTERESTED IN ONLINE GAMING. What I want from my modded system is an attractive graphically pleasing interface to browse the games on my external hard drive. Also, can I insert a disc into the 360 and have the option to save the disc onto the hard drive with either the wasabi or the x360key like you can do with a modded wii. So basically which has a more attractive intuitive interface and can I save games by inserting into disc drive and choosing some kind of save to hard drive with either.

If there are differences as far as compatibility with certain games or using accessories like kinect that would also be useful information.

personally i prefer fat 360's in the end hardware failure can happen anytime the choice you make would depend on what mod you use,if your not going live & you want a nice dash then your best option is a slim with the reset glitch hack aka RGH (see youtube rgh with freestyledash)actually you can go online with link (see link below)

xkey & wasabi use nxe (microsoft dash as far as i'm aware),only thing i'd warn you about is if getting a new slim is wait a few months or better still wait till warranty runs out then rgh,unless you can get a fat360 of late 2008 with a compatible dash to jtag

finding a "Phat" model with a low dash version and the right Mobo is a needle in a haystack scenario.By looking at the power socket connector type you can find what Mobo it has,but then you have to find out what dash version it came with.I would buy a slim and as scorpNZ said wait(unless it's out of warranty already)both trinity and corona versions 1-4 are exploitable.Look at your options in the link below.
