Wave 4 patching

Hey all,
I see a lot of posts about patching.
With my newly flashed Hitachi 1.51, do I still need to patch Wave 4 games to run on my 360 - I'm not banned and I don't go on live and i'm not getting any console updates?
I have searched the forums but can't see any posts specific to the Hitachi 1.51

What about the thread that is listed 3 down from the top titled "(Solved) Help! Hitachi 1.51 Reads Backups As DVDs"?
$38 on new discs -- Check
$15 on burn after burn that showed as a DVD -- Check
$11 on new laser -- Check
$28 on new multimeter -- Check

This should of been posted in the patching threads lol, hitachi 1.51
should be able to boot wave 4 games without a problem.

that thread has nothing to do with what he's asking, he's asking if he needs to patch the games not why his burnt games aren't working

If you read the thread you will see that this exact issue is covered in that thread. So, um, yeah.

um, no if you read the ops first post he's asking if he needs to patch wave 4 to wave 3, on the other thread there is no mention of patching iso's to work, the guy on the other thread is having trouble playing wave 4 games granted, but in no way did he mention patching his games lol.

He mentions, quite specifically, that 1.51 should not have to patch wave 4 and they will play fine without a patch.

where in that quote is the word patch?
if the op did do a search, if he used the word patch then the other thread might not have showed up, or because the other thread mentions nothing about patching iso's he didn't read it fully lol
