what i am wanting to know is if i back up a game using my kreon drive with a wave 4 game from a video store and burn it on to a dl disc (like i was doing with wave 3 games)

I am not 100% on this, but I believe the Lite-On drives are not working correctly with Wave 4 games and iX1.51. You will need to update the drive to 1.6 and use the boot disc or wait for 1.7 to come out if you don't like the idea of doing that.
The whole ripping thing will work just the same as before.

abgx360 corrected their earlier post on wave 4 games with this info: -
Quote: Looks like we were wrong in assuming that iXtreme v1.51 was fully compatible with 4th Wave PFI/Video. Turns out that only Hitachi iXtreme v1.51 will boot 4th Wave backups, and BenQ/LiteOn/Samsung iXtreme v1.51 will NOT boot 4th Wave. It would have been fully compatible if only the Video data had changed but not with the change in PFI (capacity). So currently the only safe option for booting 4th Wave backups on a BenQ/LiteOn/Samsung drive is to use iXtreme v1.6 and the one shot boot disc.
So the answer to your question is no.

Seriously :) Suddenly I am happy that the iX team neglected us Hitachi owners for so long...

I burned that cars game just to try it, using the d162d with kreon 1.0 and it works for me. I think that if you burn your own games like we do and don't use agbx we will be fine. Time will tell(BTW i have a Ben-Q)
