I have my xbox modded with iX 1.6, when i try to play MW2 (even when using the activation disc) it shows up as a dvd with the big xbox logo. There's nothing wrong with the disk as it works on my friends box with the same firmware.

Yeah its 1.6 i got it done halfway through october. I haven't tried it with any other game but should it still work as it works on my friends? I don't know what type of drive it is as i got it flashed by a 3rd party

well seeing as you don't know the drive cos it was flashed by a 3rd party how can you be sure he put 1.6 on and not 1.51?

He told me the firmware was 1.6 as 1.61 hadnt been released yet but he forgot the make of the drive
