I've been hearing about new dash updating fw itself, and was wondering if anyone had any info on what consoles this was affecting? I imagine it will be the new slims but was wondering if the old fat ones will be updated also.

No one will know until the new dash is released to the public.

I'm gonna assume it will be all consoles because of the new game disc. Right now the only people affected are the people who are beta testing or update to the new dash. If you update you will not be able to flash your drive.

only firmware that have been reported to upgrade to new FW are the slim liteon drives

c4e said you could flash your drive again after update, but be sure to get your key before hand because it hides your key in a new location I just didn't see any info on models being affected. I dont have a slim, I got liteon 7 just wondering if I would be affected, and it is looking like it, dammit!

Ok so I have my OFW for my liteon. How would I go about flashing it? Spoofing it to think it is a 9504 or just flashing it the same way? I can't even get it to dump the firmware right now.
