dont put labels on your disc. all it does is throw them out of balance and causes it to hit the laser and scratch the crap out of. just use a sharpie or get printable discs.
Come talk with us on efnet at #elitemods !!! or just click ME

Yeah I just use a sharpie or cd marker, once you can identify the game you don't really need a label on it as you will be playing it spinning at 12x so even if you could see the disc it spins so fast all you see is colours.

Consoles:
XBOX360 Falcon console with Lite-On 74850C
PS3 80gb phat model with 120gb hdd
PS3 60gb model
PS3 modded on 3.55

I don't know what the big deal is. Even with lightscribe, does it matter that much?
Just use sharpies like 95% of everyone here (I would think).

Yeah I agree sharpie all day.bought like a pack of three hundred labels.Ifound that the labels mess with play back of dvd's.So I don't put them on games,as I could only imagine what would happen then.Sharpies are cheap labels cost me 23 bucks, probally try and use them for c.ds but who uses a cd now a days.just a thought

Yeah never use sticky labels. If you are like me and like pretty backups. I use Verb White Inkjet Printable disks. A little more expensive for the disks. And also have to consider cost of ink as well as printer if you dont already have one that prints to disk.

yeah, Ive honestly only heard of people saying that there have been problems when using lightscribe vs using sharpies. Honestly, never heard a single complaint from using sharpies.
Keep that in mind

I went through a phase of using Lightscribe discs, they took nearly as long to do the pretty pictures than it did to burn the disc! Waste of time.
Try searching, its fun.

Half of the time I get printable discs and just write on them with a marker, I don't have a printer that prints discs and won't waste money on one as it's pointless. It's the bottom of the disc that needs to look good and clean otherwise your laser won't be able to focus on it. Being able to know what game it is that's all that matters.

@mulletinc
Let's read the rules on sigs and correct your ASAP.
The images together exceed what is allowed.
See the link in my sig for more details.

I use printable Verbatims, a Canon Pixma iP4600 printer, Acoustica CD/Label Maker, and I get the disc labels from console-covers.com as they moderate submissions, so you don't get the sort of crap you'll see on sites like cdcovers.cc.

It's pure crap compared to console-covers.com. Look for yourself. I've just search on cdcovers.cc for some disc images for the latest games - Halo 3: ODST, Need For Speed Shift, FIFA 10, Wet, Borderlands and Batman: Arkham Asylum. All that was on there was 3 fairly los res cover scans for Batman, but no disc images and nothing at all for any of the other games. On console-covers you'll find a choice of 300 DPI custom designs and scans for all of those games.

no worries guys and gals (adding the gal part to be politically correct :))
Since a mod should probably follow the rules, to stay on topic here's my 2 cents. Do with it what you will.
Movies I uses printable discs and the epson r series printer - they look sweet.
Games - sharpies all the way. I used to do the cases many moons ago but nixed that and just use books to put all my dvd's in.
The game is lucky to get played more than once anyhow so why waste my ink :)
Printable dual layer btw can be a bit pricey.
I use cdcovers.cc but I don't print on game discs. Plus no XBox here - I have the 'other' consoles.
Here's another site but I'm not sure what their xbox stuff is like.
