i dunno, I registered a new Gamertag just to play Black Ops online, but there are no more free 1-month Gold Memberships... I wasted my time!
Anyone care to answer?

It's still 3 when registering gamertags via a new console.
They've never given out 1 month free Gold subs to all new gamertags. If they did that, some people would just make a new gamertag every month so they could play online for free.

God, I HATE MY BROTHER! He used my last free 1-month Gold Membership without asking me, it was at August, and he registered it just to play L4D2.

ummm... yes, they have. I used to do it all the time. I didn't play enough to warrant buying a subscription. Microsoft just charges that money for people who want to keep "friends" on their sites, and some other stuff that just translates to you paying them to collect data about you. Anyway, since I didnt want that, I just stayed with their offer to reset the account every month, and that's fine by me. I've had many accounts (12+, I know), and never once did they decide not to allow me to do it again. But then again, that was a couple years ago. Apparently things have changed since then... but my point is, yes, they did have an offer for 1 month subscription for every new gamertag for quite some time.

weve had our box for 2 years, always been "chipped", after updating to lt+ last week i thought sod it and let it see xbox live and immediately the offer of 1 free month gold came up so i took it.
