hi all.

i cannot for the life of me figure out what card to buy. i see them ranging in price from $15 to $60.

i just want to make sure that i get the right items for this project. everywhere i look people only say get a via pci card with a specific chipset, but they don't actually recommend a specific brand.

i paid a guy to flash my elite, but he wasn't very forthcoming with what i would really need to do this myself (not that i blame him, it's how he makes extra $)

i cannot find a thread that names specifics about the items, only general descriptions.

i appreciate any help. sorry for being such a noob.

If your pc has sata ports they may recognise the drive, but if they don't you will need a via sata 6421 pci card. These cost about $15. If you have an older model liteon (before may 09) you will also need a connectivity kit and probe, these cost about $60. Every other drive can be powered via the xbox, but a connectivity kit makes it a lot easier. I prefer the xecuter ck3
