what to do about updating dash with tx pcb

i have a slim that is on the dashboard 131460, so i want to update it to the latsest dash. i have the tx pcb on the drive (which was a stock 0225) and still have the original pcb. so if i put the original pcb back on teh drive and then update can i just put the tx pcb back on the drive and it will still work without having to reflash the drive. i have done alot of searching for this question but gat so many confilcting answers. thanks.......................sudeki300

All you had to do was flash to stock. You wasted your time swapping pcbs even though it will work.
