So with the recent ban hammer im assuming right now isn't the smartest time to mod my 360. How long should i wait? I know modding it at anytime is putting yourself at risk but is there a time frame that this banhammer will be over? Or does it not matter when i mod it and the risk will be the same as always?

I would at least wait until iXtreme LT is released for your drive. Even then, wait a little bit after it to make sure it works out good. As always, you are still running a risk.

When should you mod it? How about right after you open it and connect it to your Sata VIA card. That's probably the best time.

Seriously, we'll always have to deal with the "risk" of flashing. Unless c4eva's Lite Touch does what's anticipated.

and then wait a whole lot longer than that if, like me, you have a hitachi. we're already 2 fw's behind lol

True that :)

My primary is a Hitachi as well...

I have it on loan to a friend of mine who lives out of town while I was working on his. Well, his was banned. He doesn't currently have an internet connection, though, so I have no idea whether or not mine is banned... time shall tell!

Hitachi power!

$38 on new discs -- Check
$15 on burn after burn that showed as a DVD -- Check
$11 on new laser -- Check
$28 on new multimeter -- Check
