I've used Team Xecuter Products before and I know they are very good about providing firmware updates in response to system updates. I know nothing of the matrix team so what makes this a better option?

no one said it was a better option. All the chips do the same thing. There is no updates needed. All the chip does is allow you to run the glitch.

But won't there be in the future something like new disc formats kind of like xgd3 or something else that require some sort of update from the hacker side of things that allows you to play new games just like it is if you run LT 1.9+. For Example: There's always a new LT version to respond to dashboard updates?

These Reset Glitch chips are different from modchips of the past.
Past modchips (PS2, GC, PS1, etc) allowed a backup disc to boot.
These Reset Glitch chips allow the 360 boot unsigned code, such as Xell or emulators, and in the very near future, the RXE alternative dashboard.
