My xbox just got the RROD for the first time in quite a while - I did send it in a couple years back with the E74 error if memory is correct ... regardless, I'm still (fortunately) for the next few months covered under the 3 year warranty for RROD errors, does anyone know if I should get a 360 with updated hardware inside nd possibly HDMI on it? What has your experience been when sending one in under warranty? I'm not sure if they'll actually repair the hardware inside my broken one or if they'll send me a newer version that is refurb .... my searches came up with nothing useful

You'll more than likely get a board with HDMI, and it'll have dashboard 8955 or 9199 on it.

If your system doesn't have hdmi the one you get will not have hdmi.
I've sent off plenty of Xenon boards from 2006 in the past 6 months and I've always gotten back refurbished xenon boards with liteon drives. Only one out of 5 did they actually repair and send back an originally sent off system.

I've only sent in two Xenons. 1 month ago and 4-5 months ago. Both times got Jasper 16 meg nands.
