It all deoends on if the console has been in for a repair or not. If it's never been for a repair it will have a silver sticker. Every console I have sent for repair has come back with the bigger white sticker, so it's hard to say for definate what sticker it should have on it. Just see what residue is left on the case (if any) and base your judgement from that. lol
I would just send it in as is. I just sent in an xbox with no sticker whatsoever and they are fixing it. Ive heard about alot of people doing the same thing.

But if I do that and they don't accept, will I have shot myself in the foot?
Thats a good question. Ill let you know in a few days if im getting a new console or the old one back. Ive even heard about people sending in consoles with parts missing, and M$ still fixes it. I'll post my results when i find out..
Ok, I have been sent a new console from xbox. I actually bought the xbox with no sticker whatsoever off of ebay. I guess i got pretty lucky and it hasnt been sent in before. I would just send it in without a sticker... They fixed mine with no problems. Good luck..
