So I installed the fans last night, and im really not impressed.
They sound louder than stock, and they weren't even as effective as the stock fans.
I have a Jasper.
Any one else with similar experiences?

When in 12v mode they're loud. In 5v they were pretty quiet. I've used the Max's on a couple of consoles. I don't use one on my Jasper as it already runs cool and quiet with the stock fan. So it would be kind of a waste of money to put one on the Jasper.

Do you think they were quieter than stock?
They might be good for consoles before Falcons, but certainly have no advantage over stock after that.
I have Falcon, not Jasper after thinking about it. Always get the 2 mixed up.

To me it did seem quieter in 5v mode than stock.

Ya I didn't find these any better than the stock fans. The LED's are nice though.

yeah I have one and they are a waste. Just do the 12v fan mod if you want better cooling.

They where a bit better than stock on older xboxes on newer ones i dont know, MS must have done revisions on cooling/fans during the years. The Leds are the selling point they just look cool i have green whisper fans and a green chameleon case by XCM looks awesome:)

Yeah, I haven't read any about any tests done on the Falcon or Jasper. In 5v mode, I don't think they would make enough of a difference on either of those models. But in 12v mode, I know for a fact they would on every 360 model.
My Jasper is jtag'ed and I'm running Freestyle Dash. FD lets you manually set your fan speed. I have mine set at 70% and after hours of gaming my gpu stays at 117~120F. That's 70% of the max speed with a stock fan. So there's no doubt at all that a Whisper running 12v (100%) will keep the console even cooler.

Thats the test I did.
FSD 100% with stock vs whisper.
And the temps were the same and I dont think the whisper was any quieter.
On Falcon console.

What does your Jasper normally set at temperature wise? I have a Jasper myself and I'm not sure if I should be worried when the GPU idles at ~65C, the CPU is always ~10C cooler than the GPU. Is 65C high for the Japser model? My old Falcons GPU RRoD on me and I noticed it set at about 65C also. Any help is appreciated.

Even doing a 9 volt fan mod should be more than adequate with that jasper board. If you need visuals on how to do this, see here link.
"All drives should be updated to Lite Touch + (LT+) firmware if playing on XBOX live. Samsung drives and pre-78/79 Hitachi drives do not utilize AP 2.5. All other drives are considered to be detectable by Microsoft (YMMV). Make sure all rips are ABGX verified, contain SSv2, and patched AP2.5 (where needed). XGD3 must currently be burned on new drive with PC Burner Max firmware for 100% rip. All modded consoles can be potentially unsafe for use on XBOX live."
