white screen error when loading copied game disc, why?

Hello, I have been trying to make back up copies of my xbox 360 games and i have followed a few different guides and still keep having the same problem. When I put the burned disc into my xbox it seems to load as a DVD and then a white screen with "To play this disc, put it in an Xobx 360 Console." pops up in a bunch of different languages.

I have my xbox drive flashed and my computer can write dual layer dvd's so i'm not sure what the problem is...the only thing i've found through all the forums i went through was about this happening from PAL or NTSC differences but that is not the issue for me.

I'm using Memorex DVD+R DL blank cd's, i'm not sure if that could have any reason for causing this.

I will greatly appreciate any help anyone has to offer so i don't keep wasting blank dvd's. Thanks

The Memorex could be an issue. Are you sure you flashed your DVDkey and what firmware did you flash?

I got the RRoD a few months ago and the dude that fixed it had the firmware and flashed it for me...i know that it works b/c he left a burned game (i guess the one he tested it with) in my xbox when i got it back that that game work fine.

the whole burning process works well and after you can see where the files are written on the back of the dvd...then it loads up with that white screen and text in diff. languages. It also has the same pop DVD/netflix stream on screen control bar.

i would think if it was just b/c of the Memorex that the xbox would say it can't read the disc or something along those lines.

If you are trying to play any game made after March 2009, on IX 1.5 or lower firmware, you are going to have this problem. Can you post what games work and what games give you the "Play DVD" error.

NCAA College Hoops is the one he left in it and works, then i tried to back-up CoD: WaW & Gears of War 2...I can try to back-up an older game i have like Dead Rising or FIFA '08 maybe

I just tried to make a back=up of FIFA '07 and it went to the same screen.

i'm a noob when it comes to burning anything but CD's...maybe i'm messing something else up.

i insert the game disc into my computer, use a program to rip the IMAGE (DVD) and IMAGE.iso files onto my computer. Then I've tried burning both the IMAGE file onto a blank disc.

Are you checking any of these ISOs with ABGX?

Also, are you setting the proper layer break?

I didn't check the ISO's...the guides i used didn't say to check em. would you happen to have a link for the program?

and I think i'm using the correct layer break...i have a macbook and couldn't find out the name brand of my DVD drive so i just went through them all and used the only one with DVD+R DL (i think it was "Nu" soemthing) and it was the only one that i could set and get the "success" pop-up window.
