well, usually it's just one to three people always, always answering questions that being homesick,wabashman and guessswho.. at least from what i have seen. maybe if you logged onto #xbox-scene on efnet you might get a better response, at least it would be in real time ^_^;

agreed.
on topic though--
since your downloading your games, are you sure they are for the correct region? what FW is on your console. shouldnt matter since the imagburn log was for burnout paradise which is a wave 1 or wave 2 game so any should play it unless some of the files were bad in the game. if you have iextreme 1.6 that could be the issue as it wouldnt let it boot.

To be honest it looks like your burner is really bad or the lens might be dirty because you shouldn't get errors verifying. It's not too expensive to get a good burner like pioneer.
You could try to save money by cleaning the lens, My uncle has a pioneer 216DBK and it works even with cheap media, I have a burner (taken from an external USB burner) it's IDE and people would likely call it a cheap waste of money, it's a lite-on 160p6s and the firmware is: PS0C but this burner has never ever burned a coaster and with most cheap brands it still burns discs that keep spinning at 12x in the xbox (the xbox drive slows down if it has reading problems first slows to 8x then if still unreadable 5x and then if still unreadable you get disc read error).
If you have bad burns you'll hear your xbox getting loud when it loads it then then going quiet because it can't read at 12x and it has to slow down and even if the game keeps running you're likely to get a disc read error and slowly damage your laser. I think you shouldn't use that drive the way it is now unless you want unreadable errors and a broken xbox drive.
EDIT: Homesick lay off the newbies the only reason he posted twice is because he wants an answer but it takes time to get one, just because you seen a second post it only wasted like 5 seconds of your time to check it, it's the mods that should get annoyed and they also won't like flame.

Consoles:
XBOX360 Falcon console with Lite-On 74850C
PS3 80gb phat model with 120gb hdd
PS3 60gb model
PS3 modded on 3.55

I appologize for getting uptight, but it gets old seeing it every day. good things come to those who wait.
@ the op - I appologize for coming off mean. It was a rough day.

Yeah the plextor drive seems a bit sporadic i just managed to burn Starwars force unleashed without any errors at 4x but then i tried burning Baman Arkham Asylum and it didn't even get through he burn
i also tried cleaning the lens with one of those lens cloth and some isopropyl not sure if that made any difference
I also have my laptop TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-L632D but i haven't had any luck with that so far
Are they any particular burners that work well for burning 360 games?
i know you mentioned the pioneer 216DBK but i don't really know much about burners so open to any suggestions
Thanks for taking the time to reply i appreciate the help

Yeah my lite-on from the external burner has only ever burned a bad disc if the discs was scratched. People recommend pioneer drives but have no problems with my Lite-on, we tried a sony NEC but that wasn't great and we also tried a sony vaio laptop burner and that was really bad (it ended up finishing my first samsung lol).
Try to look into a Lite-on or Pioneer or something similar they're not too expensiv if you think of the money you'll save.

Prob yr discs and/ or the craptop doing numerous other things in the background. I'm getting 100% success rates on a new NEC/ Optiarc 7200, in a 5 year old Athlon xp based (2200 @ 2800) Nforce 2 board, in a Biostar Ideq machine with 2GB of ram; do NOTHING else while your discs are burning and burn as slow as ImgBurn lets you.
Tuffdisc and desktop PC FTW!

Yeah i know, most all the burns i have tried have been on my desktop computer with the plextor and i close all unnecessary processes and just let imgburn run by itself and it still dumps out coasters
Anyways i just ordered the Lite-On iHAS424-08 so i will see how that goes
