yes I actually think they might be hackable right now, but that hack is not public. I could be wrong though, about it already being pausable

When you say hackable are you asking about...

1) a dvd drive firmware hack to play backups
or
2) a jtag/homebrew type exploit?

If you hit up xbox-scene, there's a way, but it involves soldering and stuff. Also, it actually gets you a full firmware dump as opposed to a dummy.bin.
