I read somewhere that there is a custom firmware to turn your cheap router into an adapter for the 360. I have searched and had no luck. Anyone seen this or know of a guide?

Thanks, but is there a guide on how to install and setup? or does the firmware simply work? I will not be using it as a router, but an adapter for the 360.

I have flashed multiple routers with dd-wrt. I love it. Right now I have one router upstairs that is the AP which is connected to the internet, and one downstairs acting as a repeater bridge.

Go to the dd-wrt website, and go to their wiki. They have guides on how to install it for each seperate router.

I highly recommend using it.

I have a linksys wrt54g.

But dd-wrt works on a lot of different routers.

Their wiki shows all the models that are compatible with it.
