hey guys need a little wireless advice for my 360. I'm moving into an apartment and will have access to wireless but not be able to hard wire my 360 to the router. I remember reading a thread a while ago about using your laptop as a router. I can't think of the exact term how it is used, maybe access point? I also don't want to have to spend the money on the mircosoft wireless adapter, but i thought you could convert a linksys wrt54g router into a wireless adapter. Money is tight right now so keep that in mind. Thanks!
you can easily do the first option you listed, you just hook your 360 up to your console, and then turn on internet connection sharing or ICS. option two will work, but you will have to spend the money on the router, and flash it with DDRT firmware i believe. make sure you look into this before attempting it as certain routers need certain versions of the firmware. but i think for the price of the router, you could pick up a wireless adapter on ebay or craigslist etc.
