It's missing from the sticky. There's a Hitachi tutorial, but it's not for jungleflasher.

are you saying you want to partner up to do one, or you just want someone to make one?

I'd try to make a walk-through but with all the revisions and variables with Hitachis, it would take quite some time. The JF tutorial that is already out there will help you get your drive flashed.

Then you need to make your own thread with a good topic and specifically explain your problem in more than one sentence. That will make people want to help you.

Your replacing a BenQ with a Hitachi 47? Spoofing Hitachi drives is covered in pages 65-75.

It really isn't that hard. Make sure the drive has STOCK firmware on it. Select the bubble next to "Flash Key Sector". JF should prompt you to type or load a key.bin. Once that is completed, select the bubble next to "Flash Spoof Data". Choose the drive you want it spoofed as.

Yeah the hitachi tut in the sticky helps, I still had to search for missing puzzle pieces though.

homesick: no. god no. I just noticed there's a jf dummies tutorial for all drives but hitachi.

OK I've figured most of it out.

By the looks of the prices of sata-usb cables it seems I may as well buy a connectivity kit.

I'm still wondering about this key thing though.

The tutorial for 'flashing hitachi with ixtreme already installed' doesn't mention anything about the key, to me it seems the bin file for the original firmware that comes with JF can be used? Is that right?

ok so bring hitachi back to original stock, then flash key sector, then load the benq firmware? then flash spoof data choosen benq to be spoofed?

is my drive bricked, i mean it opens and closes and recognizes in windows, but with my attempts to flash in FWtoolbox it displays nothing but "open tray" when inside xbox
