Hey all, I'm in need of some parts to fix my rrod 360. I've been doing some looking around and I found this seller on ebay. Otherwise, the next best thing I could find was around $15 for all the parts, so I have my suspicions.

Seems legit, but any confirmation from you more experienced ebay buyers? Or if anybody knows of a better place to buy?

I wouldn't buy the nylon washers either. Just stick with metal washers.

@homesick - Thanks for the tip about thermal paste, but I'm having problems finding the right screws in my area so I don't have to do any drilling into the heatsinks. If I need to I can buy thermal paste locally. Would you happen to know parts numbers from Lowes or Menards? Otherwise, my last option is to check a couple local only shops.
@leerage - I would rather not risk any shorts with the metal washers, even though they may still work.
@wabashman - It is out of warranty, and this is my 4th one from them that was supposedly "fixed" under warranty repairs (I haven't had one last more than a year with less than 10 hours a week on it). Otherwise I wouldn't be looking for a repair kit in the first place. I'd rather do it myself and not spend the $90+ to get it fixed from them. Besides, if I can't fix it I'm not going to buy another one as I'm so disgusted with M$.

they will still fix it. just log into your xbox.com account and request repair through that way. i've sent many in that were out of the 3 year warranty and it was repaired free of charge.

Already tried that, the website said it was out of warranty, and I also was on the phone for over an hour trying to convince them.

How is that even possible? When I try to do it online it says $100 charge??? If it shows red out of warranty, all that means is the standard warranty is up, therefore you could still send one in for free. Example 2006-09-07 would be $100 charge. I think you're confused.

In the drop down list, change it to either 3 light error or E74. It will change to $0.

Can you tell me how it would "short" when even MS is using metal to metal on their stock X-Clamps? Seriously, those washers will warp over time and cause you problems down the road.
