wxripper won't control my disc drive

First off thanks to everyone who posts guides in these forums. They've helped alot over the years.

As for my issue...

My wxripper1.2 will not control my dual layer dvd drive. It recognizes what disc I put in as it say G:/jackass... but I cant stop, eject or find magic number. It has no control.

My laptop is HP with vista 64 bit
drive is optiarc dvd-rw AD-7200S

My friend who got me into this swears he has the same drive and he's doen this several times. He couldn't figure it out. He blamed vista as he uses xp.

Any suggestions?

my 64 vista did the same,couldnt figure it out neither,so i just used my old xp machine, try it with xp

my wife put a password on the XP desktop and she cant remember. Nooooo!!!!! haha

This thread can get locked or deleted. I installed it on a Vista 32bit system and it works fine.


Any suggestions on what disc to use. I bought Verbatim but they are pretty expensive. Anyone have anything to say about Memorex or other cheap brands?
