I performed the xclamp fix on my 360 after it got the three rings of death. It didn't fix it. Any tips on what I can do now? I would really like to fix this machine!

did you clean both heat sinks, cpu and gpu.
also you can try to unplug the fan and turn on the 360 until you get two red flashing lights (takes around six or seven minutes).then turn it off as soon as this happens.this cooks the new thermal paste and helps the mobo to bend back to its original shape.
leave it for a half hour to cool down.
then plug back in the fans power suply.
and you should be good to go.
a quick message to the precious post you shouldnt bother posting smart arse messages it doesnt help anyone.
if you have no intention of helping wouldŽnt it be better just not reply at all.
also i have done the xclamp fix and ist going strong for the last two years.

He didn't give a smart ass response, he gave the honest answer about the x-clamp fix. It is a temporary solution, and the fact that you got lucky and yours has continued working, doesn't change the fact that it isn't a real fix.
Also, telling him to unplug the fans and overheat his console is a horrible idea as well. It does far more damage than good, and will only shorten the lifespan of the console.

i have fixed 8 xboxes this way including my own and never had any problems.
i think it has somthing to do with using metal washers rather than nylon.
i could be wrong but the proof is in the pudding.
8 xboxes no more rrod so far. 4 of which are over two years since fix.

Ok kgleeson You do not know anything at all what you're talking about,
Overheating It is a awful idea, because the capacitors and all the surface mount components will recieve permanent damage thats why when you over heat a console the heat coming from the back is much more than usual.
X-clamp fix works Its basically re-doing microsofts xclamps except the OPPOSITE way thats why you need to do the team hybrid xclamp which you put foam on the bottom to prevent the reverse bends

Now its pushing the chip up and after that bends again you've just reversed the original damage the other way, then keep overheating and everyone knows after like 7 overheats its gone.
@ohyu I suggest you reflow look for gameover and send him a pm
But since he Ohyu did not ask " hey um someone tell me to reflow"
Heres the answer Ohyu if you didnt do overheat the console this is how you do it. Unplug fan dvd all that till its only your xbox motherboard and the heat sinks and all that bolted in with the Rf board (on off switch)
Turn it on and let it blink 3 red lights and wait till it turns to two.

i was not telling him to overheat the xbox (ie towel shit)
he has already removed the old xclamps and put on the new blots and paste.
so i was advising him excatly what you did at the end of your post.
