I think this will be a good alternative for those who don't care about LIVE and want to run iso's off a hard drive. As to whether or not it is safe for LIVE, that remains to be seen. As long as the 360key firmware is giving the correct challenge responses I don't see how it could fail (at first anyway).

Anyone who stands to lose money from this device will always tell you it is unsafe.

Yeah it's still awesome if you don't care about live since you won't need discs to boot backups. Never know, maybe they will make it live safe. I remember when C4 and teamX said the NO SOLDER solution wasn't possible. Then good old maximus stepped in....
