Hi guys i have an opportunity to purchase A faulty xbox at a very good price but i am wondering if any of you think this would be an easy enough fix or not?

here,s how the seller describes it

"You can play games on this unit, however there is a fault with the sound, when you play games, all you can hear is a loud noise, (like an out of tune TV), however, if you are deaf, or can play games with the volume on mute, you wont have a problem!"

I have a broken xbox that i could salvage parts from if necessary

I'd be tempted as it could simply be a faulty lead. You could try either another lead or using an advanced cable and use the optical out for sound.

failing that, if it is a good price, the drive itself would be a useful spare.
