OK, I posted a few months back, and I guess that my post got deleted, because it's no longer even searchable. I have a SH-D162D with Kreon 1.00 and it worked fine in my HP desktop. I have since taken it out and with the use of an IDE to USB converter kit, connected the drive to my HP notebook. On the notebook in XBC there is a greyed out start button. Before you give advice though, please know that I have tried most everything, including "unlocking the drive" (this option too is greyed out), using several different types of notebooks with both AMD and Intel chipsets, and have tried every OS from XP to Windows 7, and nearly every version of said OS's. I've even tried to run it in a virtual machine with base drivers with no other applications installed to ensure that there were no conflicts. Below is my XBC log.

It never gets past this. I know there HAS to be a way to get this to work on a notebook. Any ideas?
