I have want to flash my xbox360 for a while. And recently I bought a Via 6421 PCI card so i can do the flash. I have read about 83850C, it seems i don't need a connectivity tool to flash it. So, I connect my Xbox360 drive to my PC. Then I started flashing. I finished extracting inquiry, identify, serial, dummy, key use my xbox360 as a power source. I didn't put AV cable on, don't know if that matters. Then a start erase my lite-on key. I failed a couple of times, so I decided to restart. Then I can't get my drive connected to my PC, and the light won't stop flashing. It looks like i messed up with the drive..
Can anyone help me on this. I don't know what to do know.
You erased the firmware and just need to write the firmware back to the drive. Connect it up to the same SATA port you were using and click "Intro Device ID". It will prompt you, click yes. Once you see the dots going across the bottom of the screen, unplug the power cord to the back of the DVD drive and plug it back. Should get status 0x72 and you can write the firmware.
Thanks, I am actually following your tutorial. I have tried, but it won't recognize my drive anymore. It keeps showing no drive detected. It seems like the xbox360 doesn't power my drive anymore. Should i get a power kit?.
