Hi Guys, I wanted to reply in the thread found here:
BUT it says I cannot as its more than 60 days since the last reply and I'm a newbie :(
I thought therefore I would try my luck with my own thread with a simple question and that is:-
I have successfully managed to burn (via a dual layer DVD) an is xbox360 game. I have not yet updated via flash/chip my xbox 360 drive, and so I was wondering if this is why when I placed the game into my 360, the main 360 icon screen comes up and it says its trying to read the data on the disc but to no avail?! Any help on this would be great, and furthermore advice on the best way to chip your 360 to be able to play backed up/iso games and if there is something extra you need to do in order to safe guard your 360 from Microsoft disconnecting you from Xbox live as a result??
Actually, go HERE first and start reading. Once you've read through that post, go HERE and read some more.
Seriously, those two posts will answer 99% of your questions. After reading them, if you still have questions, then post 'em. I've found the people here to be extremely helpful as long as you do a bit of reading for yourself before asking your questions.
Also, don't use Llamma's guide to find out which drive you have, use the pictures in the FAQ (first link I posted), they've been updated more recently.
