Well actually pwn is just a mis-typed own since the o and the p are next to each other in a keyboard. Another variation is pwned.
But Personally Owned works as well lol.
Also it's not just an Xbox 360 term. This is widely used all over the internet.

it started in warcraft. when you killed someone it was supposed to say owned but it was a typo and came out as pwned.
