ok guys and gals. iv done some reading on making 360 backups and still got a few questions. i do not have a dvd rom for reading my xbox 360 game in pc however i do have my xbox drive "TS-H943" hooked to PC flashed with 0800 to be viewable in windows. i have the original disc in the drive and can rip the iso and the ss.bin however when i try to do a "whole disc stealth extreme" i keep getting error cant extract dmi!. i can rip game only iso and pfi.bin and ss.bin. not sure about the video files i can get them to but i dont know if they are needed? can i just rip game.iso and patch my ss.bin to that with ssmerger then burn? does Schtrom360Xtract work on your xbox or does it only work on a pc drive such as"sh-d162d"? i just dont want to make 3 coasters trying to get it to work.

when i run abgx360 i get this.

my xbox is not live and is not hooked up online so im not worried about getting good copies for working online. just would like to backup the games i have no so when my son plays he can use the backups and stop breaking my original discs.

This won't answer your question entirely, but if you have the original disc and you're ripping it correctly, you don't have to run it through ABGX really...since you're not worried about being flagged and playing online it doesn't matter. ABGX is predominantly used as a tool to check for verified retail game rips for use on xbox live. However, DO make sure you are properly ripping the games using XBC (Xbox Back Up Creator) and follow the tutorials to the T.

i tried xbox backup creator it errors out too. says invalid security secto detected plase check disc and try again.

ok i figured out what i was doing wrong. when i was flashing the 0800 i was doing the spoofing and adding my key to it and that was messing it up. didnt realize i didnt have to have my key. so i ripped it to HD and run abgx360 on iso for heck of it and it said it was stealth and checked out perfect. NOW i burned it with img burn at 4x to dvd+r DL memorex dvd and flashed my drive back with ixtreme lt with my key patched and it plays originals but not backups. it just wont read the disc? when i spoofed my orig.bin to ixtremelt.bin it also spoofed the drive from ms28 (LT's default) to my drive as a MS25. could this be causing lt to not work correct? i just loaded orig.bin as original and ix-ltv1.0-sammy.bin as firmare and spoofed orig and wrote it to it? any suggestions?
