Porbably an old one for many of you,but my son has an xbox360 that is crashing intermittantly.No red lights flashing ,but i would probably prefer that then i could solve this problem.
It is a well ventilated area,has never been upgraded in anyway.
My son reckons that is crashes with the newer games but it crashed while i was playing call of duty 3.
I have found that it seems to crash where there is more action in the game,could we be looking at the CPU failing.My son says it always crashes when he is xbox live call of duty 5.
Doesnt seem to be overheating.When it crashes/freezes the green light is still on ,but thats about all.
My son says when it crashes on xbox live,he can still talk to his friends but gameplay freezes.
Any ideas appreciated.
Yes the warranty sticker is still in tact.Although i am sure it is over the 3 years old warranty that they give out for the extended period.
I may have to get this privately.There is no error flashing to give me an indication of the dreaded flashing light sydrome,YET.

The game Prototype would usually crash on me once a day. It's the most crashes I've had with any game. Besides that game, I usually get one crash a month.
Only trouble is if you send it to microsoft,they ask you register it first,as the xbox 360 is over 3 years,and hasnt been registered before it wont allow you to complete the registering procedure.Mad eh??I treid once it first starting happening,and got nowhere.
