No, it will not read the correct size and will probably say something like "0 bytes free of 5.31 MB", But if you eject it after burning and reinsert it into your laptop, your computer should start to play the disc in a media player, telling you "to play this disc, put it in an Xbox 360 console." that should determine that the disc has burnt correctly, or just try it in your console. (remember that if its a new game out you will probably need the latest firmware out for your console or a fix method to boot)

I also tried it on my wifes laptop and it got 2/3 done and then it stopped writing... i think that maybe the file that i got is junk and that there was a PFI mismatch. When i put a regular xbox360 disc into my drive it will read the capacity so i think that it is not being burnt completely.. xbox backup creator says that there is a PFI mismatch

No, I mean MB. All a regular dl drive will see is the video partition wich will not be that much data, unless the drive is capable or reading the extra data. Try downloading ABGX to check all data and CRC's are correct on the game.iso, plenty of tuts available for ABGX.

sorry i was confused by now i understand.... I am going to give the disc that i made to my friend and he is going to see if it works in his flashed 360... knowing me i probably didn't flash it right and am just making this more complicated than it should be... i was getting the verify errors and it was confusing me and making me think that i was burning wrong.thanks for the advice - you were helpful, ill let you know how this plays out. abgx said that one of the games was already good and it passed everything and the other game it fixed then it passed the 2nd time around.
