Ok so simple enough to do the standard X-Clamp Fix for most of the common issues with the Xbox. However for issues like the E74 which are more likely to come back after a fix, what is the best method?

I have seen people replace the heatsinks with ones like these:

They added a copper heatsink over the GPU with a fan and added an extra fan on the CPU heatsink and then more mini heatsinks on the RAM chips. M question is, what do they use to stick down the heatsinks on the ram chips and is using copper heatsinks better than the metal ones?

Also where would you buy heatsinks like those?

E74 is something to do with the ana/hana chip, afaik the only fix is a reflow.

What exactly is done during a reflow of a board and what are the chances of getting E74 or another error after the reflow??

I thought the E68 error is a faulty hard drive?

I'm not an expert but I think that reflow's aren't always 100% effective.

But they are more effective than an X-clamp fix from what I've heard.

Very true, but every xclamp I've seen last for a few days or months at most. Most reflows if done properly last forever. If they come back reflow was either done improperly or the solder is just gone.
