Xbox 360 freezing during gameplay

Hi my names chris. gamertag is my signature (incase it doesnt show it its xXkingtrix69Xx ). but ive recently been having problems with my xbox overheating and freezing on me while i play ANY game....so i binged it and found this forum. as of right now ive been trying some cheaper solutions to fix the overheating problem. (i didnt pay for my xbox i traded a tablet for it) so needless to say the warranty sticker was broken off because the dumb person i got it from thought it would be cool 2 take it apart and do a HORRIBLE spray paint job on it. (so i had 2 buy a lame sticker decal) so ok anyways back 2 the point sorry. so i bought the X-cooler fan. (from amazon for $9.40 which did not help AT ALL. then i found the old thread post for this same problem and i was reading and i found this Quote:

My mod I did 3 months ago is cutting out the metal grill case, the oposite side of the Hard rive, I cut out ONLY the area containint the holes. Also cut out the back side grill , HOLES only. Since then My temps have gone down ALOT. More air flow in, more air flow out. Since then I have never had an issue. Also have a labtop cooloer underneath, and my 360 runs real cool after 5 hours of gaming on halo. I opened the console and the metal case was barely hot, the CPU heatsink itself was more then cool and the GPU was a tad bit warm.
I wish I could take pics and post everything but I got this idea from 2 diff utube videos.

. i just did this (granted i did not put the case back on it yet but i played 16-17 rounds of zombies and it didnt get even nearly as hot nor did it freeze on me. i just now put the case back on and i am getting ready to try it again. if it works i will comment and let you all know. but just to let you guys know now it is a pain in the ass to do and i ended up cutting myself like 5 times XD. so as long as your not scared of a lil pain and blood you should be good. IF THIS DOES NOT WORK I'mtrying thermal paste next. thanks guys wish me luck!!! after i get this problem fixed i would like to soft mod my xbox..so if any one could tell me how 2 do this without spending 100s of dollars that would be great. thanks again folks

IT WORKED....MY XBOX HAS BEEN ON FOR 30-45 MINUTES, MY FIANCE EVEN PLAYED SOME ZOMBIES...AND IT IS NOT FREEZING AT ALL!!!! I WILL GO AHEAD AND LINK A VIDEO TO YOU GUYS OF WHAT I DID. good luck guys hope this helps any other gamers having trouble (btw if you try and do this try not 2 break your warranty sticker and you wont void your warranty

once again you show that you do not read instructions very well, READ THE STICKIES, there are sections there for guides explaining everything you want to know! please read the rules, the reason you cannot post url's is because you are a noob!

hey no reason to be rude. no i did not read the "rules" to me "reading the rules" is a noob statue. so i do it my way. so no i did not read the stickies. i did not know there was anything to read, i never knew this forum was so...pushy/demanding/bossy. i was just posting how i fixed my over heating problem to try and help out anyone else who may of had the same problem as me.

it's not my fault that you are to lazy to follow the rules number 1, and number 2 i watched your self-praise video on how you solved the mystery of the RROD, and as somebody that has a repair shop and have been really fixing xbox's for 7 years yours will fail!
