Hey,

I know this might a noobish question but is it possible to get say a 500 GB HDD (not Xbox one) and partition it into like say 5 sets of 16 GB partitions ? Or will the Xbox 360 just notice the one input device and say "16 GB is all you get even if you partition your HDD a million time".

Also, on Ebay, they are selling 250 GB Xbox 360 HDD for like 90 AU dollars. I asked the vendor why is it so cheap, and he says it is a third party HDD (so I am assuming the got the Xbox 360 HDD shell and chucked in a third party HDD). So some questions arise from this;

1. Would you buy one ? (meaning do you think it is reliable enough if say the vendor said he has never gotten a problem with it before, plus he has 99% good feedback and has like 5000+ comments/feedback)

2. If I have this HDD on my Xbox and say another Dashboard update comes along would you take out(disconnect) the HDD from the Xbox 360 (since it is third party) and perform the update (encase it tries to detect third party drives) or their is no real threat of having a third part HDD on the Xbox 360 all together ?
- What I am scared about is if they detect my third party HDD they will ban me from installing games on to it (unless that is impossible or theirs not threat with the new 9xxxx dashboard update).

If their any other concerns or things I missed out please add them in your response so I can decide in getting a 200$ HDD or a 90$ one.

EDIT: He is from Australia meaning his factory or store is Australian, and manufactures the HDD's in Australia (I can only assume their not dodgy Hong Kong made but lets assume they are 100% Australian made and I don't care about paying 90$ so you don't have to say "Its a waste of money" I just want to know if it reliable or not etc...

EDIT: I NEVER intend to go LIVE with my Xbox 360 (EVER) just update the Dashboard manually.

Thank you
