I have bought an xbox 360 from a friend of mine. It was modded when I bought it so I am not sure on which it has. It's an orginal xbox 360 arcade edition. Someone was telling me that it was flashed. When I try to play newly burnt games now it doesnt read the disk. It will play all my previously burnt games but not any new games. I am using verbatim dl disks. Other people tell me that I am to use the LT+ firmware update and other people tell me that the firmware is not for my xbox due to my drive. I am not really knowledgeable about this but I would love for someone to help me out. The latest game that I could play was Fable 3. I am not able to play Fight Night Champion as when I put the disk it it just says to open tray. Can someone please help.

Yep, you need LT+ . There is a version for every drive (Except slims)

Awesome,
I have downloaded the file LT_+Plus_1_1 is that the right one? And how do you install this? Do you just burn to a disk and put it in the xbox?

Im afraid its slightly more complicated than that. I would recommend learning though as undoubtably you will need to do another one in the future. For instructions have a look at the "jungledflasher pdf" - google it. The method to flash it varies on the type of drive you have.

Ok here it goes...
I have spent an hour or so watching youtube videos and taking step by step in ripping this xbox apart..I have successfully tore it apart without breaking anything so that was awesome. Huge thumbs up for people that can do this in minutes. So in taking apart this thing and getting my drive out...here is what I have;
Philips & Lite-on Digital Soultions. I am not sure on all the info anyone needs to help me but I will be more then happy to give any helpful info. Also I wanted to mention that I have a mobo that supports sata and I see the spot on the back for a sata. Do I just plug in the sata cord and turn my computer on and then follow this jungle flasher??

74850C is the firmware on the top of the drive but it has been modded before this. I can play burnt games Im just not sure how he done it. I have my sata cord from my motherboard hooked to the drive and powerd by the xbox 360. I have downloaded the firmware LT_Plus_1_1 as it says it's for liteon which in the jungle pdf it shows if there is a yellow cord in that hole it's a liteon which there is on my drive. Just a little unsure on how to actually use this program.

Ok I have got some info from jungle if it's gonna be of any help. In the program it says that my F/W Rev is 7485 which is different from the pdf so I am gonna wait to get a response from someone before going any further. Again thank you for all your help.

As it has been flashed before, it disables the r707 probe method. The are a few ways of getting getting the key (MRA Hack, Lizard). I have to admit though, I am not up to date on the latest method. I'll leave the answer to this to some other users.
