is it at all possabul to put homebrew XEXloader onto the 360 with out the dvd drive?
i broke my drive some how when i opened up my shell and got three red lights took the drive out it recked like it fried open that... it did but i am in need of XEXloader or home brew for i cant play any games ? any thing is help full
i also have a P.O.S 20 gig hdd... how do i get an 80 gig hitachi DeskStar to work on it? i tryed ghosting it all it did was copyed the partishions ?

have u try spoofing a new drive?

dash is 2089550 soofing? iv tryed just another dvd drive in a dell desktop power by dell and sata in drive and xbox with the power in old drive had to have cd in old drive for it to work but wouldnt play games
now old drive its screwed all together i fried it like a good oll B-B-Q id say

oh and i no longer have red lights, just the power light flashes unless i had the drive power wire conected

Wrong, 8955 is the latest dash. you need a 7xxx series dash to JTAG.
@kyle420, once you JTAG your xbox, you can get your CPU & DVD key along with your OSIG then you can get a new drive IF you have a exploitable dash (7xxx or below)

But as I said, that's no good for JTAG. Unless you can somehow get your DVD key from your old drive, you screwed

Then to that I say.... you are screwed... probably. If you have a benq, or lite-on you are screwed. If you have a Samsung or hitachi it can be saved. You will probably want to talk to bhetrick if you have a sammy or hitachi, as he can probably remove your tsop and read the key.

that what i ment 8955 cnt be jtag. my bad, i wrote that at like 4 in the morning so am a little tired. technically you can jtag but you cant extract key
jtag is another word for soldering stuff
good luck anyway.

Actually, no. JTAG is not just soldering. Im sure on that bit. AFAIK JTAG is a standard which makes it easier for you to connect a Circuit Board (or a IC) to another IC for debugging purposes in laymans terms. (IE your xbox motherboard to your PC motherboard.)
On a side note. I'm not too sure why the actual LPT bit is not referred to as the JTAG as it obviously fits in to the above statement.

Just got a question, does playing tekken 6 will update your dashboard to 8 series? The guy mods my xbox keeps getting 0022 error...
I have never been online or xbox live, and in fact I have not still set up the xbox live account...I have never had any 3RROD. Besides, I hardly touch my xbox360.
So what should be the problem then? The guy who mods my console uses the USB nand flasher the error he got was after he completely jtagged my console.
