hi,

right so im trying to flash my liteon drive cos my games keep getting scratched and ive already bought 2 call of dutys. So ive connected to my on-board SATA connection on my motherboard. ive downloaded and installed PORTIO32 and jungleflasher and that seems to be working perfectly. it reads the drive but doesnt give me the DVD key. i then tried to use Xtractor reader but that wouldnt give me the key:( i think i'm meant to do something with the TX and RX on the drive's PCB but i dont know exactly. Can anyone help me pretty please???

what model is your drive ? you need to buy tools to flash lite on drives or build your own tools.here is a link to jf tutorial it will tell you everything you need to know and what you need

i have a LiteOn PLDS DG-16D2SL. so im gonna get a probe that connects to my PC through a COM port and it also connects to 5V power supply and the R707 hole. should i be able to extract the key now from Xtractor reader?

look man is your drive a 74850c drive ? if so you would do that.if its a 83850 v1 you dont need to probe.if its a 83850 v2 or a 94350 this method will not work. if you want one device that can unlock all these drives and the new slim drives order yourself a x360usb and a ck3 pro and a ck3 probe. if you order these you will be able to unlock any drive you want and in less than 3 mins.

yes mine is a 94350c version. them three things are quite expensive. is there no other way around it?

no there is not. you have the hardest drive to do . the alternate thing to do is cut traces but you still need a via 6421 sata card,a ck3 pro and a ck v2 probe to do it. then you have to repair your trace cuts by soldering.its not noob friendly.if you do what i tell you and just buy the 360usb you wont have any problems. you ll have it flashed in 3 mins

the tools might be expensive but they make the job a hell of a lot easier. plus once you have the tools you can make your money back no problem :)

here is a link to a step by step guide on how to do it when you get your tools,read the pdf file not the video.dont mind the start of the guide that just tells you how to make your own probe if you have the rest of the tools.look at the bottom pages of the guide this shows you exactly what you have to do. any problems give me a shout.
